Ben is a singer-songwriter, voice teacher, and teaching artist living and working in New York City. He teaches private vocal lessons and accompanies choral classes at the Calhoun School, and is the composer-in-residence for Gamiotics Inc’s Seize the Show virtual interactive play experience. His full-length musical, Spellbound! A Perfect Musical Fairytale (NMI Search For New Musicals Grand Prize Winner 2016, Disney/NMI New Voices Award 2016) has been developed at the BMI Workshop, Andrew Lippas’ Writers’ Bloc, and Ken Davenport’s Writers’ Group. Ben has worked as an NYC teaching artist for nine years with companies including TADA!, City Center, Usdan Arts Camp, Wingspan Arts, Brooklyn Acting Lab, and the Open Hydrant Theater Company (The First Equity Theater Company in the Bronx.) Ben has performed multiple times at 54 Below, Birdland, and the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse in NJ.
