Our Story
AfterWork Theater is a “theater for fun” organization and community designed for everyday people who share a love of acting, singing or dancing. We provide the opportunity to perform in musicals, plays, musical revues, and to take theater classes in a stress-free environment. There is no audition or experience required to participate! As long as you are ready to have fun, make friends, and get creative, we invite you to come play with us!
Wanna be in a show?
We believe that anyone who wants to be in a show can and should be in a show! We don’t require auditions or even experience to be cast in a show; just sign up and you’re in! We also don’t believe in type-casting, and believe anyone can play any part, for the most part. There are times when there are casting requirements in order to maintain the integrity of the storytelling, and we want to honor those instances. We also choose rehearsal and performance spaces that anyone can enter and thrive in, and make sure people with all levels of ability and mobility can participate and have fun!

Cost
AfterWork Theater programs are tuition-based, with many options to meet all financial situations. We have one-time fees or monthly payment plans, as well as pay-what-you-can options. We also offer financial assistance providing up to 100% tuition relief!
Time
Our programs are designed to acknowledge the busy schedules of our participants. The commitment is once or twice a week, with some outside practice you can do on your own time! Some programs meet more frequently for a short time, such as our bootcamps and sing-a-lings.
Quality
Our creative teams have a knack for shining the light on every participant in a way that ends up wow-ing their friends and families at show time. The quality of our productions is measured in joy, fun and surprise, and you will find yourself capable of more than you’ve ever imagined.
